Ethics in a Nutshell

It’s Internet Quiz time again!
I’ve had alot of fun with internet quizzes lately (My type of English, btw, is 65% standard, 30% Dixie. Big surprise there, yall! I have no idea where the other 5% went…?) so here is one I thought I’d pass along.
This quiz actually requires some thought and the results inspire one to do a bit more research as well.
Ethical Philosophy Selector -find out the philospher with whom you are most compatible on the topic of ethics.
Here are my results:
St. Augustine (100%)
Spinoza (89%)
Aquinas (83%)
Ockham (83%)
Kant (80%)
Jean-Paul Sartre (58%)
Nel Noddings (58%)
Nietzsche (57%)
Stoics (57%)
Jeremy Bentham (45%)
Prescriptivism (44%)
Aristotle (42%)
David Hume (40%)
John Stuart Mill (35%)
Ayn Rand (34%)
Cynics (29%)
Plato (24%)
Epicureans (16%)
Thomas Hobbes (0%)
According to the quizmaster:“The results are scored on a curve. The highest score, 100, represents the closest philosophical match to your reponses. This is not to say that you and the philosopher are in total agreement. However this is a philosophy that you may want to study further.”
To be honest, I am not surprised by most of them, but am especially pleased that I find myself in such close agreement with Sts. Augustine and Aquinas!More honesty-some of them I’ve never even heard of! (The only Hobbes I know of is Calvin’s striped companion, for whom our cat is lovingly named!)
Hat tip: Janet at Adventures in Ethics and Science Blog

That was fun! I just took the test. I am 100% Aquinas, 79% St. Augustine, then Spinoze and then Ockham(never heard of him!). I can’t remember all the percentages. I love Aquinas! (as you can probably tell by the name of our homeschool!).
Thanks for the link.

Thanks, Theresa! I just posted my results on my blog.
