Almost there
Posted by lapazfarm on October 26th, 2006 filed in Random RamblingsI have been a bad blogger lately, I know. So sporadic!
It’s not that we aren’t DOING anything. Really! It’s just that everything we are doing is sort of “in process” right now, so I don’t have alot to say. I promise, though, that soon we will be done and I will have some good stuff to share. Nature notebooks, read-alouds, JBug’s latest work , all with pictures! Hopefully all wrapped up tomorrow. (Please!)
Speaking of which…Superboy and I had a conversation and decided that we are going to wrap up the nautical unit, at least for awhile, with the promise of revisiting it again in the spring. His passing his certification test just seemed to both of us like a logical point at which to take a breather. I think this sailing adventure is far from over, however. And I will continue to support him as long as he remains interested. This is the longest he has ever stuck with a unit-study and goes to show that when he is interested in a topic, he really can stick to it. I don’t remember how long ago we started this unit (I guess I could look it up here), but it seems like AGES!
Good grief, I just looked it up and we have actually been on this unit since day 1 of this school year, August 27th! That’s two months, folks! Definitely a new record for stick-to-it-ness!
And definitely time to move on.
So visit us tomorrow for the wrap-up post.
And then tune in next week to find out….what’s next!
