quick and easy cornmeal recipe
Posted by lapazfarm on October 29th, 2006 filed in montessoriHere is a recipe to try on a rainy day when your kindergartener complains that there is nothing to do. It is quick and easy and fun to do!
Ingredients:
1 cup of cornmeal
1 silver tray
1 set ABC flashcards
1 bored 5 year old
Pour cornmeal onto tray. Place ABC cards beside tray. Sit 5 year old at table and tray in front of 5 year old. Mix and allow to “chill” for approx. 1/2 hour. You’ll know when she’s done!

Handy substitutions: replace cornmeal with sand, salt, flour, rice, lentils, or (if you are brave) candy sprinkles.
Have fun!

Now, if I were to replace it with candy sprinkles, it wouldn’t get past me!
She looks like a very happy little girl.
