My favorite miracle

Last Sunday’s Gospel reading was about Jesus’s first miracle where He changed water into wine at the wedding in Cana. I was talking to dh yesterday and commenting that I wish he had heard our priest’s homily, as it had been particularly interesting (dh had been flying back from a job interview in Montana and regrettably had to miss Mass). As I mentioned it Superboy pipes in with “Oh! The wedding at Cana! That’s my FAVORITE MIRACLE!!!” Hmmm…That made me smile, of course, but I also realized that I had NO IDEA Superboy HAD a favorite miracle, even less idea that he would be so enthusiastic about it. He never fails to surprise me, that one. He is so much deeper than his surface would betray.
It also got me thinking…do I have a favorite miracle? Have I ever really thought about it long enough to have reason to choose? Apparently not and perhaps I should do a bit more contemplation on the beautiful signs that Our Lord gave us.
