Fishers of Men: our Lenten curriculum

Posted by lapazfarm on February 21st, 2007 filed in Catholicism, Curriculum or Lack Thereof..., Random Ramblings

I wanted to make Lent special. I wanted THIS to finally be the season when we finally start really living the liturgical year, when our Faith and our homeschool finally intertwine the way I always hoped they would. But I have to admit, despite all the wonderful ideas floating around out there in blogland, and all the fantastic suggestions on the 4real learning board, I had no idea what we would do for school for Lent.

That is until today.

Today we finally watched this brilliant little video, Fishers of Men.
Fishers of Men.

And it all fell into place.

Lent…Fishers of men… Fish on friday… Simple meals…Superboy’s fascination with the sea…

Our Lenten curriculum will focus on fish, bread, wine, and the priesthood.

Details to follow.
