We have had the best time styling our little shrubs into Bonsai! Follow along with us in the process of transformation!

Here is JBug with the first step: Exposing the top of the root ball.

Next: Find the front and visualize the tree within!

Next, the hard work: trimming and wiring!

In order to fit into the shallow pots, you have to do some serious root pruning:

Then you pot them, add moss and rocks for decoration and you are done!

Now for the grande finale. The before and after shots:

And we have found a wonderful, fun new hobby that we can all enjoy!
(Modgirl is in the process of doing one too, but hers is not quite finished yet. I’ll put pics up as soon as she is done-it will be gorgeous! )

    I’ll chime in with my own WOW. :) The before-and-after pictures are really great. I’ve never really looked at bonsai before so I couldn’t see the potential inside each store-bought bush. Seeing the finished products makes my eyes pop! The work all of you did is amazing.
