No time for tags, people

I am leaving for Alaska in 4 days. LOTS to do, here. I don’t even know why I am on the computer. So when Erin of Seven Little Australians tagged me for the 4 and 4 meme, my first thought was “how cool is it that I know someone in Australia!?!”And then I thought “no way do I have time for this meme.”
But then it occurred to me that there are no meme police and I can use this baby however I please. So I am altering it to suit my current situation. Here is my version:
4 things I need to do before I go to Kodiak, and 4 things I am going to do when I get there!
Before I go I need to:
- Pack. For me and the kids. (No, dear, I have not actually started that yet. I am a procrastinator, ok? You know you love me anyway).
- Meet with the girl who is going to take care of the horses while we are gone. Show her what to do. Pray she does it.
- Clean out the fridge. We don’t want any unauthorized science experiments going on. At least not without us here to watch!
- Drop off Modgirl at Governors school. She will be spending the summer there, playing in an orchestra. Without me. *sniff*
When I get there I am going to:
- Give dh a great big, slobbery kiss, or maybe two! (kids, you will just have to deal with it, ok? Look away if you must.)
- Give lots of hugs and kisses to my two sweet grandsons! (once I pry myself away from dh, of course)
- Take the kids whale-watching! Hee hee! I’m getting giddy just thinking about it!
- Have a cup of coffee with dh here:

Just so you’ll understand if I don’t blog for a few days…
And why I am not tagging anyone.

All right…you can have a few days to settle in, but then…back to work! I can’t wait to see Alaska through your eyes!
Having recently gone thru similar things (although Ron was only 200 miles away AND in the same province), have a GREAT time enjoying your dh!
Oh Theresa, we’re going to miss you SO MUCH!!! I hope you have the BEST time ever with your dh, I mean your family
Enjoy that cup of coffee and savor every minute of it!! Many blessings and safe travels for you all! Hugs!
Theresa!
I am soooo excited for you!
Prayers for a safe and fantastic journey coming!
Four days?! You must be beside yourself! (That’d be useful, eh? Then you could get twice as much done lol). Wishing you all the best on your journey north!
I just wanted to send my well wishes for a safe journey. And to let you know that we will be waiting with baited breath to hear all about your new adventures! I know you’ve been missing your dh, so we’ll let you have all the time you two kiddos need. But then remember all your homeschooling fans. We need your thoughts and ideas.
Superboy, take good care of your Mom. Ok?”
Theresa praying to St Raphael for your safe travels…..I cannot wait to see Alsaka with you!
I just want to say that I think it is so wonderful that you are having this opportunity! Enjoy it fully.
I totally get the “hope she does it” thing about caring for the horses. This is a way off subject thing, but I just got back from a 5 day homeschool camp with the kids (left dh at home, lucky guy!). His only responsibilities were to feed the beta fish and the hermit crab. He never once fed the hermit crab. He couldn’t find the food. Duh. I asked why he didn’t just call and ask us (we had cell phone accessibility, it wasn’t like we went to Mars). He said he forgot. Gee, I hope I don’t just “forget” to feed the kids someday…
4 days….yikes!
My 4 things to do before Theresa gets here:
1. Clean the house!
2. Do laundry (talk about unauthorized science experiments).
3. Food. Must shop….ugh.
4. Practice puckering up for those kisses.
And when she gets here:
1. Those kisses and hugs!
2. XOXO for the kids too, dang I miss them!
3. Enjoy seeing Squirt and Jack Jack react to G’ma & Co..
4. Coffee with my sweetie at the spot pictured above (The Channel House, Kodiak, AK).
And one more:
BIG GRIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So pleased you didn’t worry about the meme police. lol.
Very interested to hear what you are going to do when you get to Alaska. Enjoy your trip with gusto:)
Four Days? Really??? Oh wow! Lucky, lucky girl!
Have a great trip! See you when you return!
Have a blast!!! Can’t wait to hear about the nature study you will be doing this summer!
