So much to do and see!

Posted by lapazfarm on June 28th, 2007 filed in alaska

To say we have been keeping busy would be an understatement! What a banquet that has been laid before us! It’s hard to blog about it all, but I will give it a shot…

Fishing at midnight on the Buskin River…

spotting sea otters splashing in the surf off Chiniak bay…

trying one last time for that salmon to hit…

finding little out-of-the-way places to get to know…

swinging!

climbing on a huge piece of driftwood…

exploring the grassy bottomlands where the river meets the sea…

and just taking in all of the beauty of creation. It is almost too much, like a magnificent dessert too rich to eat in one sitting! But so delicious you can’t stop yourself!

Oh, I am getting spoiled!

Mind sharing what wonderful job your husband has that allows you all to live in Alaska for the summer? I’m SO JEALOUS!!!!! My husband needs to work for the same company :)

Jennifer, first of all, let me say I am thrilled to have you here! I’vebeen a BIG FAN of your website for a long time! Your homeschool looks so cool!
Now, to answer your question:my husband is an RN and paramedic and works in the hospital ER. The pay is pretty good, but the neat thing is that he can get a job just about anywhere he wants, the demand for good nurses is so high. There are sacrifices, in that he travels away from home a lot, but there are certainly benefits as well. This is one of them!

And that swing of JBug’s? I want it! It’s been forever since I’ve had a good swinging session.

Agreeing wholeheartedly with all of the above. My bosom friend lives in Anchorage. Perhaps I could “sneak away” and we could all hang out together!

Truly, Theresa, your family is richly blessed to be experiencing this. If it’s this beautiful here below, imagine the treasures God has planned for us!
