Super sore throats here at LaPaz means everything we eat around here has to be mushy. Very appropriate since today is the deadline for us to choose our mushers for the eIditarod project. It wasn’t easy, but here are our choices:
Me: Martin Buser(4 time Iditarod champ and speed record holder)
Superboy: Jeff King (4 time Iditarod champ)
JBug: Rohn Buser (named after an Iditarod checkpoint, gotta love that!)
Squirt:Lance Mackey (last year’s Iditarod champ, 3 time Yukon Quest winner, and currently leading in Yukon Quest)
JackJack: pretty dog. Yea, I think he has a great chance of winning.
Now for more yogurt, apple sauce, and maybe some chicken soup. Mush!
Oh, I’m so sorry you all are feeling under the weather! Hope you get better very soon! And, thanks for leaving me some recommendations about books for animal tracks and signs!

I pick Martin Buser, simply because I met him and we have that picture of him and his dog, K2, from the year I was in Bethel and saw the Kusko 300 race. That is one of my favorite mushing pics so far.
Although I could just as easily pick Jeff King or Lance Mackey (who, btw, got the biggest cheer as he left here at the start of Yukon Quest).
Hope all get better, at least by the time I get there next week…lol
