Just a little update
Posted by lapazfarm on March 31st, 2008 filed in Random RamblingsI’ve been pretty slack about giving updates of the kid’s projects lately so I thought I’d post a few pictures of their latest work.
Superboy has been making steady progress on his latest project from Backyard Ballistics. I have to admit I had no idea the projects would be so large. This one is taking up most of the yard:

It looks like it is just about complete. He just needs to finish up reading the last chapter of his “Space Flight Handbook” and he will be off on yet another field trip!
Meanwhile JBug has her hands full with her Snap Circuits set:

That expansion set she got for Christmas sure enabled her to do some more complex projects. I wonder if this has anything to do with the sharp spike in our power bill?
Try as I can, I can’t seem to get Squirt interested in academics. He pretty much just sits around and builds with his blocks all day:

But he’s still young. I’m sure he has talents we just have not discovered yet.
Speaking of young, little Jack Jack is keeping as busy as ever. His latest favorite thing is playing in the sand box.

I just knew that little dollar store bucket and shovel would come in handy. Keeps him entertained for hours!
Well, that’s about it for now. I hope you enjoyed the update on our little homeschool. Here’s hoping your days are just as productive!

We had some fun today too! I dyed the children’s milk blue and they rearranged the silverware drawer. I let them read your post and they were totally fooled! Happy April Fools to you and your fun family!

LOL!! Let me just say that I read blogs before coffee yesterday… so thus I had no idea what day it was or what month we were in…
So when I read in your blog that you didn’t think Squirt’s abilities were revealing themselves yet… I clicked off — because I don’t read blogs that don’t build me up!! I was thinking “Wow… Theresa has WAY higher expectations than I do.”
So today I’ve had coffee, remembered what day it was yesterday, and have my sense of humor in place…
And I’m going to look up gullible… I’m pretty sure I won’t find it in the dictionary.

Hmm…. My oldes just picked out his second project from “Backyard Ballistics” I think it might by the same one Super Boy is working on.
Our first one was the potato canon. Won’t be firing that off in the neighborhood anymore, but it will go along with us on our next trip into the great outdoors. It worked VERY well!

Oh my - it sounds like you’re kids think as “big” as mine…. IN fact, mine have decided they want to get a world record for being the youngest people to cycle the Pan-American Highway. (Yes, I”m being serious here)
In three weeks we’ll be flying up to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to begin our 20,000-mile journey that will take about 2 1/2 years!!!
