How to make Beef Jerky
Guest post by: Superboy.
First: pick out some beef. It should not have bones and be very lean.

Put the beef into the freezer for an hour to help you cut it into thin slices.

Now slice it up into thin slices.

Then add marinates of your choice. I chose soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.

Then add spices. I chose garlic powder and Hot Shot, which is black and red pepper.

Stir it up with a little help!

Marinate it overnight in the fridge.

In the morning, take it out and place it on trays, making sure it is laying flat and not touching.

Place it in the oven at 150 degrees for 8-12 hours. When it’s done it should look like this!

Voila! Beef jerky!

MMM! Great job Superboy! Those skills are really coming in handy. We love beef jerky here. We use our food dehydrator to make ours and it is so yummy!

I’ve always wondered if you could make beef jerky without having to buy a dehydrator. Cool, we’ll have to try it.

Thanks for the instructions! I have been wanting to try this for years. We’re having a camping/hiking birthday party Friday and this would be great fun to add to their ‘trail rations.’
