I’m so easy to please

For example, I am inordinately happy to have found this gem at a yard sale…

Internet-linked Children’s World Cookbook

… for only a quarter!!! Woo-hoo! I can see us cooking up a feast from different country each week here at Lapaz!

I also found a LeapFrog Explorer Smart Globe for a dollar, a large butcher block cutting board for 2 bucks, a pair of camo pants for Superboy and whole bag-full of clothes for JBug for 50 cents, a game of Operation for a dollar, a nice Backgammon set for 2 bucks, and a coffee table for 10 bucks!

See what I mean? Easy to please!

Fairbanks has turned out to be a great place for yard sales!

What are your favorite yard sale/thrift store finds of late???

Wow, that is awesome. It’s been slim pickins here, ’cause everybody’s suddenly thrifty. We did pick up Woody Guthrie’s Twenty Grown Big Songs, excitingly, and a glow-in-the-dark skeleton shirt.

For some reason I have not been making it to many garage sales this summer. You have found some great things.

Do they call them yard sales or garage sales up there? We always had garage sales in CO and now down south they’re called yard sales. My theory is it has to do with the weather and pleasantness thereof.

Oooh! Excellent point, Jennifer! I do believe most of them were called garage sales. A few were moving sales.

I think that I need to start visiting some yard sales. Actually, I am still trying to make more space in our house, so I will satisfy myself by sharing in your joy.

I don’t get to yard sales very often. It doesn’t go well with dh’s schedule. Not to mention you wouldn’t be able to find deals like those here. You might as well go to a store to buy the clothes..it would cost about the same.
