Santa of the wilderness

This picture is in the Denali park slideshow I linked earlier, but I just love it so much I had to give it it’s own post:

We met this gentleman in Denali park. I have no idea who he really is, but we call him Santa of the Wilderness, and JBug was completely mesmerized. He said his son is stationed at Eielson air force base and his grandchildren live in…North Pole, of course!LOL!
(fyi: North Pole is a city just south of us here in Fairbanks)

Great pic!! We visited Santa when we passed through North Pole, just south of where you are. I assume you’ve been to Santa’s house? We had a blast there!

Not yet. We’re saving that for when there is snow on the ground. Ambiance and all, you know.LOL!
I wondered about him. Living north of North Pole is very, very cool!
He looks like he would be an awesome person to know – even for a little while.
We have family who lives in North Pole and every year they send letters from there. The kids still love it. I absolutely love the wilderness Santa. That picture is one to frame and hang on the wall.
I finally got the chance to watch the slideshow. I’m both thrilled for you and completely envious of your surroundings. What an amazing life you’ve created!!!
That is the perfect name for him. My youngest walked by and concurred.
Whoa–and Santa is really wearing red! Amazing.
Santa of the Wilderness is a hilarious endearment for the sweet man!
The lighting in this picture is fabulous! Terrific shot, you should enter this one in a contest.
I love it…wow!!!!!!!
