Block party!!!
Mar 6th, 2009 by lapazfarm
This is my month and the beautiful blocks have started rolling in from my virtual quilting bee group! Going to the mailbox is like a mini-Christmas! I swear it’s even better than the UPS truck bringing Amazon orders! And the ladies have done a fabulous job of interpreting my chosen quilt theme, “Scenes from a nature walk.” Wanna see what I got so far??? Sure you do!

This happy little block of sunshine is from Margaret of Minnesota Mom! Can you believe she is a brand new quilter??? Me either! This block is so bright and cheerful, just like Margaret herself! I love it!It makes me smile just to look at it! And knowing it came from Mags makes me smile even more!

I am absolutely head over heels in love with this tree block from Jennifer at As Cozy as Spring!!! Somehow Jenn knew that trees are some of my very favorite people and this gorgeous woodsy green tree block is absolutely perfect for me!!!Go ahead and call me a tree-hugger because I am loving this block!

Ooooh! Ahhhh! So beautiful and delicate and pretty! Kristin of Small Treasures outdid herself with her excellent (too perfect!!!) sewing skills and fabulous choice of fabrics on this lovely flower block. That pink!!! So, so, so pretty! I can’t get over it!I want to frame it and put it up on a wall!
Thank you so much ladies! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the group has made for me! I am surely going to have he most beautiful quilt ever!

I’m so glad you like it, Teresa. And I LOVE your blocks, Margaret and Jenn! Gorgeous!! Can’t wait for my month now.
So gorgeous, all of them, ours are on the way soon!!
Beautiful. Brava, ladies! Nicely done.
Ok, now I’ve got to get my act together and wash my fabric so I can send it out and get us going for March.
Theresa,
I’m so very glad you like trees.
They are so beautiful. I can’t believe how beautifully they interpreted the theme. Mine, not so much. But it was made with love.
I am no quilter but I do have an appreciation. That first block is my favorite. Wow. Brand new quilter, huh?
Wow! How fun and pretty and talented! I must say, I especially love the tree one too.
How beautiful!! I’ve always wanted to teach myself to quilt. I’ve made some blocks off and on, but never mastered it.
Well, I don’t know that my block is better than a box from Amazon, but I thank you all the same.
It is so much fun to see them all together like this. Somehow, some way, these blocks that arrive from LITERALLY all over the country fit together.
It’s you, Theresa.
And I mean that MOST sincerely.
I’m surprised how well they work together too. That’s the last thing I expected from this far flung group of friends. Great job Kristen and Margaret!
It will be beautiful!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. This quilt is going to be a stunner.
I really need to get on the ball and finish mine up!!
