Around here…

Things just keep on keepin’ on. I’ve been a little under the weather lately, but that doesn’t mean life stops, right?
There’s still plenty of productivity going on.
Like pyramid building…

Fossil digging…

Pizza making…

Wordsmithing…

Taste testing…

pH testing…

fun.
You know. The usual.

that made me smile, because it is so right. there are some days round here i think we have achieved NOTHING but if i were to photograph all the busy activities around me, i would probably be overwhelmed!
Ok you got me with the taste testing photo. What is that? Thought they were key limes at first but then I saw the goo coming out of the opened one.
LOL! Yes, they look like limes from the outside, and their nickname is Spanish Lime, but they are not limes at all. They are called mamoncillo and they have very gooey, sweet flesh with a large pit in the middle. To eat them you crack the skin with your teeth, suck out the flesh and seed into your mouth, suck on it awhile, then spit out the seed. Odd, but good!
The general consensus here is that the fruit tasting was an act of pure bravery. You get bonus points.
LOL!!! We are nothing if not adventurous!LOL!
I agree with the consensus on bravery, Theresa. I like trying new foods but I’m not sure if I could face the goo. Thanks for the info. I’ve never heard of them before.
Your ‘usual’ looks so interesting!
Theresa,
In the Dominican Republic we called those limoncillos. They are great fun to eat. I used to have two limoncillo trees in my backyard growing up.Do they grow it in Florida?
Yes. These came from a tree in our yard. I think they only grow down here in the southernmost part of Florida.
What fun! It looks like your home is as rich with learning as it’s always been.
