Throw me a bone, will ya?
It’s bone day at Lapaz, where we’ve pulled all the skeletons out of our closet for some Halloween fun!
On the bony menu:
First, a lively round of Skeletons in the Closet game, which is loads of fun.

Then we’ll take a look at the Life Size Human X-Rays, which, since they are taped up on the windows double as educational tool and Halloween decor.

We have labels for all the bones and JBug will be working on learning their names today.

Meanwhile Superboy, who already knows his bones, will be unearthing a mystery with his Who Owns These Bones forensics kit, where he has to identify the race, gender, and approximate height of a victim by studying the bones.
Wish us luck!

Wow! Love the x-rays and the forensic kit! I wish I could get Ben interested in human anatomy. Bones give him the heebee geebees. Maybe someday….
Have fun with the forensics. It brings back memories of my college years in the anthropology dept at UT, where stepping over skeletons in the hallways and stories of the experiments across the river at the “Maggot Ranch” were not uncommon…
How fun and festive!
So fun!! You can also make skeleton pictures with noodles and white beans on black paper (I think I saw it in family fun one year) and we made 2 hands out of rubber gloves (one filled with flour and popsicle sticks, one with just flour) to see what it would feel like if your hand didn’t have bones. : )
